The iconic Abbey Road, home of the Beatles.

As event planners we are always on the lookout for new and unique venues for our clients. One unique venue that we love is Abbey Road Studios. This London landmark with three working historical recording studios turned into event space, each unique in their own way.

Orchid Events has had the pleasure of holding several of our events at Abbey Road; here are some pictures of how we transformed the place without ever losing any identity or history.

Abbey Road Studios

With Abbey Road opening its doors and studios, you can now visit the rooms where legends made their music, so for any music fan this is the perfect venue for you! Studio One is the largest and first purpose built recording studio. This room is a special room filled with musical history and any music lovers dream. It has recorded many famous cinematic film scores with the likes of Skyfall being recording in this impressive room. Studio One is able to accommodate almost all your entertainment requirements as it can fit a full orchestra and choir performing simultaneously. The largest of the three rooms available, Studio One can hold dinner for 250 people, a reception for 350 or a conference for 300 people.

Studio one may be the biggest and by its own rights an impressive room but Studio Two is famous for The Beatles and is arguably the most famous recording studio in the world. This studio has played a huge part in modern music history, developing legends that we know today. This studio was used by The Beatles to record 190 songs and has seen the creative process of albums from incredible musical talent such U2 and Oasis. Studio Two hasn’t changed much over the years and stills holds the same décor and atmosphere from its 1960’s glory days but is very much up to date with modern technology. Studio Two is slightly smaller than Studio One offering a great venue for press launches or private performances. This room can serve 130 people for a drinks reception, 70 for a sit down meal and 100 people for a conference.

Studio Three is a more modern studio with high ceilings, creating an inviting atmosphere which is perfect for smaller and more intimate parties. Studio Three has access to a mezzanine balcony and lounge area which is a great addition. Studio Three isn’t without its history, having seen great talent record their music, including witnessing the late Amy Winehouse’s last ever recording. With a slightly smaller floor space, Studio Three can comfortably hold a drinks reception for 50 and a dinner or conference for 30 people.
